I personally think this is waaaaay too stupid idea - if it is real. The single-shard nature of EVE is at the core of what this game is (or rather was).
I was a newb once, the oldbros kicked my arse. Then I learned and got older... HTFU.

After watching Players go completely ape stupid to join a new server in that other MMO I am confident CCP would do well if they made a new one here.
In my opinion I see the Big fish will still gobble up small fish and the new server will differ only in the details. A replay of many of the same dynamics and names we see on Tranquility, only with barges used for mining this time instead of Armageddons. It would be interesting to see how an EvE server would develop with the ships and Tech the game has now.... but it is the Players and not the Gear that determines a Servers' fate.
That may be so, but I'd be seriously upset if I had to migrate to another server because it is the new sh*t in town and tranq would turn into a ghost town.
You know, content and stuff.
I just wanted to see the reaction of other players to this news, And until further notice from CCP I just say that I think I'll wait for the movie...
